SST Compliance Update: Option 2 Now Available on Courtsite

In our earlier post, “Understanding SST (Sales and Service Tax) for Sports Facility Rentals”, we introduced the basics of SST and how it affects sports facility operators in Malaysia.

Today, we’re pleased to announce that SST Option 2 is now officially available on Courtsite — enabling SST-registered centres to stay compliant while continuing to deliver smooth booking and invoicing experiences to your customers.

What is supported under SST Option 2?

  1. Partner Centre SST ID on Invoices
    1. If your centre is SST-registered, simply share your SST ID with us. We’ll ensure it appears automatically on the invoice PDFs issued to customers.
  2. 8% SST Applied to Services Only
    1. We now support 8% SST on court booking rentals only.
    2.  At this stage, add-ons (e.g., equipment rentals) are not yet SST-enabled, but this will be addressed in a future release.
  3. Admin Booking SST Handling
    1. SST is now fully supported in admin-generated bookings.
      When admins create a booking and collect payment, the system:
      1. Applies the correct SST rate during checkout
      2. Displays the final amount including SST during checkout
      3. Reflects this clearly on the invoice
  4. Self-service Reschedule Handling
    1. We’ve also make sure SST logic applied correctly for rescheduling scenarios:
      1. If the rescheduled booking is RM0, no SST is applied
      2. If the customer tops up (e.g., RM10), SST is applied only to the additional amount
  5. Enhanced Analytics & Reporting
    1. Our reporting tools now provide full SST transparency:
      1. Dashboard shows prices inclusive with SST by default
      2. You can untick a checkbox to view base (pre-SST) prices
      3. Excel exports include a new SST Amount column to ease tracking and reconciliation

How it looks to users?

To promote clarity and trust, we’ve updated several interface components:

  1. Venue Page – Pricing Section
"Price shown exclude 8% SST” displayed near pricing
  1. Booking Selection Page
“Price shown excludes 8% SST” is shown as a reminder
  1. Booking Summary Page
Includes a line item for the 8% SST amount
  1. Invoice PDF
Now includes (1) SST ID, (2) SST Amount & (3) Total Price (including SST)

These updates help your customers understand what they’re paying for.
